HOGMI PRESIDENTIAL MESSAGE FOR 2014

‘2014 IS OUR YEAR OF EXCELLENCE’

DURING this year, you will do all things as Christ strengthens you. This is the year of power in your life.

Your pursuers are gone and you are starting off on a new level. You have received certain things as you cross over from 2013, just like the Israelites who left Egypt loaded.

“And the LORD gave the people
favour in the sight of the Egyptians,
so that they lent unto them
such things as they required.
 And they spoiled the Egyptians.”
Exodus 12:36, KJV

The Egyptians will not cross over the Red Sea with you. You have to sort them out.

The year 2014 will be so full of blessings that you will reap where you did not sow. You are going to recover all the things that have been stolen from you. Before you can receive these blessings, however, there are three things that you need.

1. Pursue Righteousness

Now that you have escaped 2013, there should be no funny business this year. Do the right things. You should have a new attitude in 2014 and do not allow any thing to disturb your walk of faith. Stand on the Apostle Paul’s words:

“None of these things move me.”
Acts 20:24, KJV

In your pursuit of righteousness, shun the attitude of an eye for an eye.

The devil knows the triggers to pull and open the gates of your life wide open. You need to close them out completely by getting rid of certain (negative) things in your life.

2. Pray Aggressively with Holy Anger

The evil one knows about your blessings and will try to grab them. If you don’t pray them through they will be captured in the spirit realm. Praying aggressively will create the channel through which you will receive those blessings.  After praying in holy anger, you need moments of silence and allow the Lord to speak to you.

“Be still and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10, KJV

3. Summon Courage

Have enough courage to act as you are led by the Holy Spirit. He will give you the courage to act out the instruction.

May God bless you throughout 2014 as you excel by the Spirit of God...

FIREWORKS AT IGNITE SUNDAY FIFTH EDITION

The fifth edition of Ignite Sunday – held on June 30 this year – saw the unveiling of some of the giftings in Ignite Youths of Glory. Brother Rushworth Mupawo, Sister. Zvikomborero Makuvarara, Brother Takudzwa Mawarire and Sr. Phallony Mwanjira took turns to share the word with such power, conviction and eloquence which left the congregation spellbound.

Clearly, indications are that our young people are walking the right direction and the future looks promising. Below are short video clips of the messages from Sister Zviko and Brother Takudzwa.

REMAINING STEADFAST IN THE FAITH

Pastor Edward Chigaru has urged members of the ministry to remain steadfast and confident in their walk of faith.

In his message during the Hope of Glory city assembly afternoon service, the man of God used Philippians 1:6, to explain that we should not allow our happiness to give way to heaviness. He said the plot of the devil was to constantly pull us into doing negative things but we should constantly oppose him.
When we pass this test, he said, there will be a promotion.

Turning to Galatians 6:9, Pastor Chigaru said the scripture encourages us not to grow weary in doing good, meaning that the possibility of getting faint was real. He urged the congregation not to be weary.

He said the challenges we are facing merely reflect that the present time was seed time and in this time, we were sowing for our future.

Pastor Chigaru said you can sow to the flesh and reap corruption or sow to the spirit and receive eternal life.

“Your due season is around the corner,” he said. “There is a saying that it is darkest just before dawn. When things become too hard, you should know that victory is close by.”

The man of God said usually when we hear about people – especially Christians that have succeeded in life like Econet founder Strive Masiyiwa – we only get to hear half the story of how they scaled such dizzy heights.

“When we look at Strive Masiyiwa, we see the mountains and not the valleys. He is said to have fasted for over 40 days (to get the Econet licence) while he was diabetic,” he said.

He urged members of the ministry to develop a thick skin so that they can easily move past offensive incidents. He said it is important for us as individuals to create a new vision for our lives, which should be exciting.

He said we should do things prayerfully so that we do not make unnecessary and costly mistakes in life. He said we should remain in tune with the Holy Spirit so that we can receive guidance and direction from Him. Before we settle for anything, he added, we must receive confirmation from the Spirit of God so that we don’t fall for the counterfeits – in jobs, spouses etc. – that the enemy is bound to throw into our life paths.

“Let your steps be ordered by the Lord. If you apply for a job, get a confirmation from the Holy Spirit that it’s the right one,” he said.

He said the older generation still has the chance to correct the mistakes of the past because they are now in Christ.

Earlier in the day, Pastor Chigaru had taken time to minister to the saints during a powerful morning service at Hope of Glory Zengeza. You can watch clips of the videos below.
